Human Resources Generalist/Benefits

Job Duties

To assist in administering a variety of functions to support the activities of the Human Resources Department including company’s leave of absence, interactive process, ADA, fit for duty, benefits programs and retirement/thrift plan. Support employee relations issues, grievance resolution, unemployment processing/hearings/appeals including Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Minimum Qualifications:

ETS - Employment Training Specialist / Job Coach - Various Programs

Job Duties

To provide supervision, training and support to adults with disabilities in community businesses and other job sites to assist in career development and to ensure integrated employment outcomes. This position also provides consultation to employers regarding hiring, training, supervising and supporting adults with disabilities; ensures quality of work at community or employer job sites; and completes required program documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Some College Course in a related field preferred. Two years work experience in a variety of occupational areas with at least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Education may substitute for experience. Familiarity with disabilities. Have own reliable vehicle that can seat at least four (4) passengers with standard equipped seatbelts. Must possess valid California Drivers license and carry minimal liability insurance. Must be twenty-one years of age and have a clean driving record. Effective writing skills to complete required documentation.

Speech/Language Pathologist

Job Duties

The Speech/Language Pathologist will have the knowledge and understanding of communication disorders such as caused by MS, ALS, SCI, TBI, CP and other medical conditions. The individual will provide extensive cognitive and linguistic evaluations of these individuals, providing written evaluations and recommendations for assistive technologies. This person will evaluate a person’s needs for Augmentative and Alternative Communications equipment, determining which AAC devices are most able to improve the vocational aspirations or personal independence of the parties they are servicing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Communication Disorders. California State License for Speech pathology or eligibility for licensure. Capable of safely performing functions indigenous to the position, including transferring or assisting in the handling of patients or consumers. Program Coordinator

Job Duties

Coordinate day to day program services for 8 to 14 ETS and the groups they support. Assures quality of daily program services by visiting and observing work and community sites. Acts as a liaison to program participants, family members, funding source case managers, and residential programs. Substitute as needed. While all Program Coordinators will be required to support program participants that exhibit behavioral challenges, the PBA Program Coordinators will be required to assist with the management of exceptionally challenging behaviors as a part of their regular responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Some College Course in a related field preferred. Two years’ work experience in a variety of occupational areas with at least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred (for PBA Coordinator positions experience working with individuals that exhibit challenging behaviors preferred). Education may substitute for experience. Familiarity with disabilities. Effective writing skills to complete and/or correct documentation. Agrees to special guidelines; ETS Job Specifications Relating to Administration of Pay and Schedules that clarifies work hours, pay, lunch breaks, rest breaks and time off. Have own reliable vehicle that can seat at least four passengers with standard equipped seatbelts, valid California driver’s license, and carry minimal liability insurance. Must have a clean driving record and submit to routine DMV pull notice program. As the safe transportation of program participants is an important aspect of this position, employees must maintain a DMV record which remains in good standing and does not include DUI or reckless driving convictions. Failure to maintain a DMV record in good standing may result in separation from Goodwill of Orange County. Understands basic training techniques (non-aversive positive behavior management); Familiar with disabilities; Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with client files.

Employment Specialist- Employment Works (NORTH)

Job Duties

The employment specialist carries out all phases of employment service, including intake, engagement, assessment, job placement, job coaching, and follow-along supports for program participants with persistent mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance abuse disorders. The employment specialist will provide education and consulting to businesses regarding job placement, training, supervision and support of program participants; conduct job placement activities leading to increased wages, self-sufficiency, self-esteem and other meaningful outcomes expressed by the client. This position is responsible for assisting clients in career development; helping ensure integrated employment outcomes; ensuring the quality of work at employer job sites; job coaching and follow along support; and for completing required program documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age. Reliable transportation, a valid California driver’s license and auto liability insurance acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company. B.A/B.S in human services or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be in lieu of degree. Two years relevant experience working with a variety of people with many different disabilities; experience with clients with mental illness preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Effective grammar, English and writing skills. PC Proficiency in MS Office.

Veterans Services Coordinator

Job Duties

To provide administrative support to the Veterans Services staff, including compiling information and preparing reports and correspondence, supporting social media and marketing efforts, facilitating meeting preparation, processing monthly billing information, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

ADC- Attended Donation Centers Attendant - Remote Trailer Sites

Job Duties

To accept and process donations of merchandise from donors at a designated Attended Donation Center site.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma desired but not required. No experience necessary; will train on the job. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. One to two years PC experience on windows-based software. Effective writing skills and good grammar and English. Effective interpersonal and communications skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. PC proficiency preferred. Analytical ability necessary to access E-Bay software, review relevant data and transfer appropriate information for product descriptions. Familiarity with photography equipment helpful.

Job Duties

To assist in effectively managing retail store staff and operations to achieve store revenue and expense goals. Primary areas of responsibility include: staff management and training, sales, merchandising, signage, accounting-related operations, store housekeeping/maintenance (store selling floor, exterior, back room) and customer service. Position is also responsible for working collaboratively with other operational areas to ensure maximum productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required. One to three years retail sales experience and one year supervisory experience preferred.
